Friday Five

1. I caught the eight o'clock show of Catching Fire with Emily and Liz.  Basically, it was amazing and I'm not just saying that because I loved the series.  Gone was the shaky camera angles that plagued the first movie.  And in turn, we saw each character's story grow deeper.  Also, it doesn't hurt that Jennifer Lawerence is beautiful.

2.  Friendgiving this Sunday.  Wonderful food.  Great drinks. And even better friends.  What more could a girl ask for to end a week.

3.  Love letters.  Not only do I look forward to getting them, but sending them makes me really happy.  I love knowing that a letter will hopefully bring a huge smile on my friends faces.

4. Catching up on with old work friends over dinner.  After a really crappy reason to get together with former coworkers, to be able to go out for a quick meal was refreshing.

5. Buzzfeed articles.  If you don't find at least one article upon looking up the website you enjoy, then I feel sorry for you.  I mean who doesn't love lists?

I Gotta Confession to Make....

Last night I finally saw Dark Knight Rises.  And as much as I hate to admit it, I had tears in my eyes at the end of the movie.  I don't cry during the sappy lovey-dovey movies, but during a super hero movie.....I have to hold back tears.  Really?

If you haven't seen it, I think you need to run out to see it.  I'm not gonna lie, with the violence that went down in Colorado, I got nervous whenever a gun scene broke out.  But I thought the whole movie was amazing and was definitely worth the money/three hours of movie time.

Who would have ever thought I would enjoy these types of movies?  I never did, and at the end, I was so excited that the director left a possibility of more movies being made.  Greg told me that only three movies were going to be made, but I cross my fingers that's a rumor.

Can we also just talk about how I want to be Catwoman for Halloween, if only it wouldn't be one of the most popular costumes out there now?

Happy July 4th Everyone!

I love America.  I love this movie.

What better way to say Happy Birthday America (Yes, I'm early, so sue me) then sharing this wonderful 4th of July scene from the classic movie The Sandlot.

And yes, it's a classic that EVERYONE, coughShannoncough, should see.

It's Always a Good Time

Ever have one of those weekends that was so amazing, when you try to put it into words, they don't do any justice to it?

That was this weekend for me.  I wish I could account all the wonderful details, but whenever I try, I fail miserably.

Magic Mike.  Beach.  Patio dinner with the Milford family.  Margaritas.  Laughing until my stomach hurt with the Milford loves.  Prepping for Bar crawl.  Celebrating birthdays.  Sitting on the grass. Long lost friends. Cake pops. Pictures.  Fireworks.  Sam Summer. Oomcha Music.

A bunch of words that may not mean anything to anyone else, but it makes me smile to know I had such an amazing weekend.
